Göcek to Bodrum

The long passage in reverse: a relaxed start among the Göcek islands, Dalyan by river boat from Ekincik, then the Bozburun peninsula and Knidos before arriving in Bodrum.

   Yassıca Islands

   Low islets and shallow turquoise channels — perfect for a paddle.

3. Day 2

   Kapıdağ peninsula

   Quiet, pine-lined coves on the peninsula west of Göcek.

4. Day 3

   Ekincik

   Base for the river trip to Dalyan: Kaunos, the Lycian rock tombs and İztuzu turtle beach.

5. Day 4

   Kumlubük

   A sandy bay with a handful of beach restaurants.

6. Day 5

   Bozukkale

   A quiet anchorage below the walls of ancient Loryma.

7. Day 6

   Knidos

   The ancient city at the tip of the Datça peninsula — theatre, temples and two harbours.

8. Day 7

   Bodrum

   Back across to Bodrum for the last evening in harbour, below the castle.

9. Disembark in Bodrum
