The gentlest week on the coast and a favourite with families. Anchorages are minutes apart, the water is calm, and there are ruins, restaurants and walks on almost every island before you return to Göcek.

   Yassıca Islands

   Low islets and shallow turquoise channels — perfect for a paddle.

3. Day 2

   Boynuz Bükü

   A deep, sheltered bay with a restaurant jetty.

4. Day 3

   Sarsala Bay

   Next to Bedri Rahmi Bay, where the painter left a fish drawn on a rock.

5. Day 4

   Tersane Island

   The ruins of an old boatyard among olive trees, with a sheltered anchorage.

6. Day 5

   Gemiler Island

   Byzantine churches and a covered processional way on St Nicholas Island.

7. Day 6

   Butterfly Valley & Ölüdeniz

   A gorge reachable only by sea, with a short walk to a waterfall; the Ölüdeniz lagoon is next door.

8. Day 7

   Göcek

   Into Göcek for the last evening — a relaxed marina village with good restaurants.
